When you bring arts into a child's life, you give him or her the world and new ways to see it.

By providing a variety of theater, MUSIC and dance programs completely FREE OF CHARGE to students and teachers, the Friends KNOCK DOWN BARRIERS that prevent YOUNG PEOPLE from EXPERIENCING and loving the arts. Each year, the Friends programs ENRICH the lives of more that 100,000 students.

For many students, a Friends program will be their first opportunity to see a professional, world-class performance. For others, it will be their first interaction with a professional artist.

All Friends programs support the school curriculum while helping to establish a life-long love of learning and appreciation for the arts.

The Friends of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is dedicated to ensuring that all the children in the community experience the power and beauty of the performing arts.

The Friends of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center for the Performing is and independent charitable organization founded by the people who enjoy the arts and are determined to bring the excitement of dance, theater and music to children, families and seniors.

All donations to the FRIENDS directly support arts education, including Educational Performances for students, Professional Development Workshops for teachers, Artists in the Classroom, Performing Arts Scholarships and the Family Arts Festival. While the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts does not receive any of the donated funds, they generously provide attractive benefits for our donors- such as advance opportunities to purchase tickets, invitations to receptions, private arts events and preferred parking.
