Educational Performances

During the 2011-2012 Season, FAE will present 17 daytime Educational Performances at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts*.  This programming is intended to expose students in grades K through 12 to high-quality professional productions for the purpose of enhancing their education in a variety of subjects from language arts to social studies and science. All Educational Performances are selected taking into consideration the State Education Standards in subjects across the curriculum, including Language Arts, Social Studies, History, Math, and Science.  FAE Educational Performances also enlighten students about dance, music, theatre, multimedia technology, audience etiquette, and careers in the performing arts.  Attending the FAE Educational Performances is also an opportunity for students to experience one of California’s premier cultural arts centers.

To ensure fairness, and due to the high demand for Educational Performances, FAE uses a lottery system to register groups for shows.  See more of our Policies & Procedures
