The FAE Education Guild
The Friends of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (FAE) Education Guild is a welcoming and flexible program open to everyone – from high school students to retirees – interested in supporting arts education by donating their time and talents. FAE Education Guild works under the umbrella of the experienced Friends Teacher Advisory Committee, which provides guidance for various FAE programs. The FAE Education Guild’s mission is to assist the FAE staff in the successful implementation of programs.
Volunteer tasks vary from guiding children in hands-on activities at the Family Arts Festival to assisting the staff with mailings or phone calls. Members of FAE Education Guild select tasks that they enjoy and volunteer at times that are convenient for them.
Joining the FAE Education Guild is also an opportunity to make new acquaintances and become more familiar with the FAE programs at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. Most of all, it is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.
There is no membership fee or minimum number of hours required. To join, simply complete the form (Education Guild Sign Up Form) or contact FAE. At 562-916-1296. Once you have signed up for the FAE Education Guild, you will be contacted by a Friends representative regarding the specifics of the tasks or programs that interest you.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
FAE also welcomes individuals who would like to help with specific programs but who prefer not to formally join a volunteer group. You may be a high school student in need of community service points, or a working parent with limited time for volunteer activities. Do not hesitate to call FAE 562-916-1296! Every little bit of your time is a gift to all who participate in the FAE programs.
